tvONE Reveals Ultimate 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switcher/Router
Margate, Kent, UK, 24 July 2013— tvONE (www.tvone.com ), a leading designer and manufacturer of cutting-edge video and multimedia processing equipment, has announced the availability the MX-6388 8x8 HDMI matrix switcher/router with value-added features that maximise HDMI output signal integrity and aid recovery in the event of a power outage.

The MX-6388 allows distribution of eight HDMI signals to eight connected devices, either independently or simultaneously. It supports the HDMI v1.3 standard as well as HDCP 1.1 and DVI 1.0. Input HDMI signals from 480i to 1080p are accepted as valid inputs, and the switcher will output 480i to 1080p HDMI or 640x480 VGA to 1900x1200 WUXGA signals. HDMI Deep Color and 3D video signals are also supported, as are all major audio formats including DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS, Dolby True-HD, DD, and DD+.
Capable of processing all inputs at full bandwidth, using single-link 225MHz (6.75Gpbs) circuitry, the MX-6388 delivers compensated, adjusted and jitter-free video outputs on all paths. Moreover, the switcher has integrated memory that allows the system to recall the last selection should power be temporarily lost. All video paths are buffered to prevent crosstalk.
The switcher provides eight type-A HDMI inputs and eight type-A HDMI outputs, and can be controlled via the user interface on the front panel, an infrared remote, RS-232 link, or via the Ethernet port also provided. The unit is housed in a 44mm x 440mm x 310mm case suitable for mounting in a standard 19-inch rack using the mounting kit supplied.
