Twentyfourseven is, once again, the main supplier of technical equipment for the production of the TV hit series Robinsson, produced by Strix.

In 1997 Strix and SVT (Swedish national broadcasting) introduced a whole new concept of television production; Expedition Robinsson, the first reality TV series. The idea was to send a number of participants from Sweden down to a small Robinsson Crusoe style island in Malaysia. Once there, they only got the most basic of equipment and food supplies and then had to fend for themselves, first as a team, then as individuals. Every week one member of the participants was voted of the island. Today Robinsson is a multi national concept and is produced for many European countries. As the main supplier of all the technical equipment for this year Robinsson, Twentyfourseven not only provides the Swedish production but also the Danish and Finnish. “We are very proud of once again being selected as the main provider of technical equipment for the shooting of Robinsson” says Kent Lundgren, Managing Director at Twentyfourseven. “Robinsson is always a great and fun challenge for us since it’s shot in such extreme conditions in Malaysia and therefore puts great demands on our equipment” Anna Carrfors-Bråkenhielm, Managing Director at Strix, comments the deal “ Twentyfourseven is always on the edge when it comes to new technique, therefore they can help us to develop new production solutions that are both time- and money- saving” Robinsson is being shot in Malaysia starting in May 2005. The film production format is XDCAM and the postproduction is made on Avid. The whole order consists of technique worth around 3.8 million Euros.
