Stockholm, Sweden. Twiceme today announced that it has initiated a partnership with the French outdoor brand Salomon to produce some of the world's first smart helmets. The helmets are set to be released in late 2022. The partnership will make it possible to scan certain Salomon helmets to reveal safety information such as parent phone numbers, exact location and other relevant safety information like medical history etc. As people return to ski slopes post pandemic injuries and lost kids on the slopes are set to increase.* This collaboration can help set co-riders and loved ones at ease.

”Since there is a clear need from ski patrollers and rescuers that personal safety information is easily available for all, the collaboration with such a world renowned actor like Salomon is a great possibility to further spread the word about twICEme® as the global symbol of safety.”
- Christian Connolly, CEO at Twiceme Technology.

Twiceme is already collaborating with some of the world's most innovative brands like POC, Julbo, Dainese and more. As awareness around the technology is increasing both within the rescue community but also within the skiing community, Twiceme is now aiming for the global market. More partnerships are set to be released early next year which will lead to even more awareness within the industry.

Looking back a few years at protection within the skiing industry it was rare to see helmets. This has fortunately changed for the better. However, the industry has come a long way since. Now there are a host of new ingredient brands entering the market like MIPS and RECCO. Twiceme believes that the best way to increase safety is to make equipment smart. In this way the equipment can be updated continuously to always increase safety of the end user.

“Since 2001 we have been creating our helmets at Salomon to improve the safety of those doing the sports we love. While traditionally helmets have only been able to protect people from head injuries, twICEme’s NFC technology allows us to make our helmet safety more holistic. By storing emergency contacts, insurance, and medical information on twICEme’s NFC chip – we now not only protect our wearers from impacts, but also some of the consequences afterwards.”
- Chris Bellamy, Marketing & Concept Manager at Salomon
