Stockholm, Sweden - The Swedish safe-tech company Twiceme Technology is today announcing a new partnership with the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). With its 5700+ professional climbing and ski guides and over 226,000 guided experiences annually, AMGA makes a perfect addition to twICEme's rapidly growing community of rescuers and mountain guides

It is in collaboration and consultation with overarching organizations such as AMGA that twICEme is today growing its network of informed rescue professionals. Not only do guides play an important role in the event of an accident during a guided tour, they also have a major impact on the attitude and safety awareness of outdoor enthusiasts. AMGA provides mountain guides with resources and services to boost their careers, but also with connections to each other and to the larger community of guides and clients across the country and around the globe. AMGA offers more than 300 internationally recognized training courses, exams, and certifications designed to certify individual guides and climbing instructors and accredit climbing and skiing services. Among AMGA's existing partnerships we find well-known, international brands such as Patagonia, PETZL, Arc'teryx, The North Face and  Black Diamond.

twICEme is an integrated technology that allows users to store personal safety information in their equipment. Data such as allergies, previous injuries, emergency contacts, product information and more can all be uploaded to the user’s profile via the twICEme app. In a situation where the user is injured or unresponsive, the first person on the scene can access their profile by simply tapping the twICEme symbol displayed on the equipment with a smartphone. Access to this safety information provides a clear way to make decisions in the case of an emergency where time is often most critical, but can also help ease more common situations such as a person with diabetes requiring medical assistance.

“As the American representative to the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association, the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) is dedicated to supporting the American mountain guiding community through education, standard setting, and advocacy. While the nature of mountain guiding and instruction is inherently dangerous there are precautions and technologies that greatly reduce the risk. The AMGA is always looking for ways to educate our members and increase safety in the outdoors. Through this effort, we are excited to partner with twICEme who is leading the charge in ‘smart equipment’. With their local storage, non-electronic, integrated chip, accessing relevant health information is easier and more efficient.”, says AMGA about the partnership.

“Partnering with America's overarching organization of mountain guides is a natural and incredibly meaningful step for Twiceme Technology. AMGA's work to increase people's knowledge of the outdoors and to spread safety awareness is an effort we are eager to support. This partnership is yet another step towards creating a global standard of smart safety.” says Christian Connolly, CEO of Twiceme Technology.
