Complete fixing success. Even for the complete fixing novice
ForgeFix has extended its range with a new product which makes it easy for even the complete novice to achieve complete fixing success.
The distributor of fixings, fastenings and related products like ladders and drill bits has introduced a new wall fixing kit which uses colour-coding to help users choose the right screw, the right plug, the right drill bit and even to drill holes to the right depth.
Mike Smith, sales and marketing director at ForgeFix, explains: "Some people don't encounter the need to fix items to walls as frequently as others and for this group of customers choosing the right products can be confusing and complicated.
“Our new wall fixing kit is aimed at these less experienced users and recognises that numbers - such as a product's size - can be difficult to remember and difficult to see, especially when stamped on the side of a drill bit for instance.
“To make things easier and more immediately obvious, our new kit uses colour-coding instead."
Like the best ideas, how the new ForgeFix product works is simple.
Users simply need to choose the right size screw based on the weight of the item they are fixing or the fixing recommendations made on the item’s instructions. Three different screw options are provided (in quantities of 20 each) catering for light, medium and heavy duty fixing requirements. These screws are colour-coded yellow, red and brown respectively.
Next, the user selects the appropriately sized drill bit. This task is again simplified by the fact that they are marked yellow, red and brown accordingly. To ensure users only drill to the right depth, the bits are also colour-coded only to the correct length. Once users get to the end of the colour, they know it’s time to stop drilling.
From there, it’s a straightforward case of inserting the appropriately coloured plug and fixing the item.
To help capitalise on the unique benefits of the kits as well as maximise merchandising opportunities, ForgeFix has also complemented their launch with a countertop display unit.
Concluding, Mike Smith adds: “Innovation has been instrumental in making ForgeFix the business it is today and we’ll always look for new ways to make fixing and fastening tasks quicker, easier, safer or more efficient.
“The launch of our new wall fixing is reflective of that progressive and pioneering approach. It also highlights our commitment to being the ‘go to’ brand for fixing and fastening solutions - regardless of whether you’re a seasoned professional or a relative amateur.”
