ForgeFix challenges merchandising conventions

ForgeFix is breaking new ground when it comes to merchandising fixing and fastening products. The leading distributor of fixings and fasteners to the trade has just launched two new cardboard merchandisers which rewrite the rulebook when it comes to flexibility, environmental credentials and ease of use.

Mike Smith, sales and marketing director at the company, explains: “Traditionally, merchandising fixing and fastening products has entailed the use of large merchandising units made from metal. Such units certainly have their benefits but their size and weight can make them difficult to place and difficult to move.

“Our new cardboard merchandisers offer a more flexible and more portable solution and are ideal for stockists with limited floor space or for stockists looking for less permanent displays such as end of aisle promotions.”

Available for ForgeFix’s class leading TorxFast woodscrew and its F&F brand neutral range of nails, both units are supplied as complete packages and come fully stocked with all the most popular sizes of the relevant product. They are made from ultra-tough, 100% recyclable cardboard which has been rigorously tested to meet both the weight requirements of the stock involved and the demands of the modern trade outlet.

To develop the new units, ForgeFix also worked closely with a number of leading merchandising unit specialists across the UK.
