Grammy-winning record producer Steve Levine will be the guest speaker at one of only two UK 'Powered by Music' evenings to be held at the PRC showroom in Cranbrook Road, Ilford on November 24.

The evenings are designed to allow music and home theatre enthusiasts a unique opportunity find out how music production and multichannel sound works, and to provide a rare opportunity to hear first-hand from one of the world's leading practitioners of the art. Those attending will learn how the production process from studio to living room is managed.

Steve Levine is a pioneer of digital recording techniques and was the man behind the Culture Club sound. He's also worked extensively with The Beach Boys, America, Gary Moore and Deniece Williams. In addition to being a Grammy and Brit award-winning producer he has also been named BPI Producer of the Year and Music Week’s top singles producer.

The evening is co-hosted by audio and musical instrument giant Yamaha, a company that not only produces top-end, high performance audio visual products, but is also a market leader in the professional audio sector, and is, therefore, in a unique position to develop highly affordable and top performing home audio.

As well as hearing from Steve Levine, attendees will also be treated to a first look at Yamaha's new eagerly awaited YSP-2200 digital sound bar. The YSP-2200 is a groundbreaking development offering true 5.1 cinema sound from one compact unit that fires sound beams which are reflected off nearby walls to create a brilliant surround sound experience. Customers will also be able to listen to home cinema sound in ideal settings and learn how to get the best from their systems at home.

George Digwa of PRC comments, "We are thrilled to be able to welcome Steve Levine to our showroom to celebrate the arrival of the new Yamaha sound bar. The evening will be absolutely invaluable for anyone serious about getting the very best Home Cinema sound experience in their own living room. We look forward to welcoming customers past, present and new to this exciting event."

It's expected that the evening – which is free of charge – will be oversubscribed, so anyone interested in attending should call 020 8911 0300 (ext. 5) to reserve a place or visit www.prcdirect.co.uk for further details.
