MORE BAND AID AS PRODUCER EXTENDS 0% RECORDING LOANS SCHEME
A unique scheme that provides interest free ‘Recording Loans’ to talented artists and bands is being extended for 2013.
More musicians are now set to benefit from the 0% loans of up to £5000 thanks to Mercury Prize nominated producer Andy Ross who launched the national scheme at his Lancashire based Astar Studios 2 years ago to wide acclaim, reaching the final of the 'Best Initiative by a Recording Studio' category at the prestigious Audio Pro Awards.
Exclusively available for use at Astar Studios, applications are now being invited from UK musicians, solo artists and bands in need of professional quality recordings as opposed to demos. The chance to record with a producer in a top studio is normally beyond the reach of most unsigned or independent artists, but now the ‘Recording Loans’ available at Astar not only provide vital funding, but also help artists and bands spread costs while gigging.
The loans are provided subject to status, can be repaid over a maximum period of two years and taken out by the artist directly or by a third party on their behalf e.g. a family member, friend or independent manager.
