Yamaha confirm artist line-up for Fourth International Piano Series

Yamaha have confirmed the artists for their annual International Piano Recital series which takes place at Malvern Theatres.

The 2011 programme commences on October 22 with a recital by international sensation Hyun-Jung Lim, already acknowledged as one of the most promising young pianists in Europe . Stephen Kovacevich performs on December 2 and François-Frédéric Guy on February 3 2012 .The series culminates on March 2nd with a performance by Paul Lewis.

For the series opener Hyun-Jung Lim will perform works by Ravel, Chopin, Ravel , Rachmaninov and principally Liszt , this first recital has been programmed and timed to celebrate Liszt's 200th birthday which also occurs on October 22nd.

All performers will be playing Yamaha's acclaimed new CFX concert grand piano and Yamaha’s Kumi Liley comments, “We are absolutely thrilled with the ongoing success of the Yamaha International Piano Series and our partnership with Malvern Theatres. The recitals allow us to showcase our CFX concert grand in the hands of some of the world’s finest pianists."
