Yamaha Music's content rich, artist led website YAMAHA DOWNLOAD offers a unique combination of invaluable information, knowledge and advice for anyone serious about playing and producing music. Packed with top artist interviews and highly topical and constantly updated news and reviews, this month features Elbow drummer Jupp who took time out of his busy schedule recently to record an exclusive series of video interviews for Yamaha Download. The 5-part interview provides an exceptional insight into the recordings of the band's 5th studio album, 'Build a Rocket Boys' - released this week, on which Yamaha PHX drums feature heavily.

Visitors to Yamaha Download can see and hear Jupp speak candidly about the recording of the new album, his love of Yamaha drums and the new PHX series; plus what the future has in store for Elbow.

Since the release of “Seldom Seen Kid” (March 2008) and their highly acclaimed triumph at the Mercury Music prize later that same year, Elbow have become one of the most successful British alternative rock bands of recent years and their Brit Award and Mercury Music Prize winning drummer Jupp has been a Yamaha endorsee for over a decade.

Filmed at the band's very own Blueprint Studio, Jupp can be seen playing a Yamaha PHX kit in Textured Smoke Sunburst and  the interview takes a look back at the kits he has used for the past decade, from his very first kit the Power V to why he chose his recent Yamaha PHX kit.

Jupp states, “As soon as I played these drums they felt right, the bass drum had a rich, warm tone and completely suited the track we were working on at the time. The drums practically tuned themselves and held their notes extremely well.  I have to say if it feels right and the drums are singing that’s all that matters!”
