Yamaha Tour Custom kit gets the Damien Hirst 'Spot The Difference' treatment for Charity

Simon Hanson's Yamaha Tour Custom drum kit is one of only three instruments to be customised by Damien Hirst for legendary UK band Squeeze. 

The exclusive Damien Hirst collection also features two hand painted 'Spot' guitars, a Fender Telecaster and Stratocaster. The drum kit made its first public debut when Squeeze performed to a capacity audience in aid of the the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall in March.

The Yamaha Kit has been covered in spot vinyl and the three instruments are due to be auctioned at Christie's London on 20 April to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Love Hope Strength Foundation 

Simon Hanson, one of the UK's most popular and creative drummers has been in Squeeze since 2007, he combines these duties with a busy recording and production schedule and he commented "I was thrilled with the result, the kit has a great natural sound but the superb job by Damien has still not resolved the long-term fault which sees the kit randomly speeding up towards the end of songs."
