PRESS RELEASE 07/05/01 Twobyfour Software releases new products for the VMS market Twobyfour Software, a leading developer of Application Management software for business critical applications, today announced that two new products for the VMS market have been released. · Twobyfour VMS Surveillance kit · Twobyfour RTR Probe (Reliable Transaction Router Probe) Twobyfour VMS Surveillance Kit The VMS Surveillance kit is the first EMS (Enterprise Management System) independent product that enables surveillance on the VMS platform. This is performed with a minimum of CPU usage and can easily be integrated with EMS consoles from PATROL/BMC, Tivoli/IBM, OpenView/HP and Unicenter/CA. The VMS Surveillance kit enables real time monitoring of operating system with the ability to generate alarms to an EMS framework when configured thresholds are reached. Minimum and maximum thresholds can be configured with Warning, Error and Fatal levels, where all, none or several levels can be defined. Different alarm levels can be set for different times. All monitor values can be saved in the process log file for easy extraction and analysis at a later stage. Twobyfour RTR Probe (Reliable Transaction Router Probe) Reliable Transaction Router (RTR), developed by Compaq, is the proven solution for software fault tolerance with transaction integrity at every level in your distributed network worldwide, including access over the Internet. The Twobyfour RTR Probe is the first product available that probes the operational status of the RTR layered software. The Probe measures vital RTR information and verifies that it is operational. The purpose of the RTR Probe is to supervise the operation of the RTR software. The RTR probe is installed as a separate product.
