Invitation for journalists, Helsinki Finland 8 April 2015

What new information do we have regarding the risks to health and safety of industrially engineered nanoparticles?

  • What type of nanoparticles are potentially dangerous to health or the environment?
  • How are safety aspects taken into account in the manufacture of products that use nanotechnology?
  • What new types of applications use nanotechonolgy?

Solutions that promote the safe use of nanotechnology are essential, as the commercialization of nanotechnology expands and a growing number of workers and consumers are exposed to nanomaterials. Exposure may occur during the production, transportation, storing, handling, use of and recycling of products that use nanotechnology.

We invite journalists to attend the conference to hear presentations by the world’s leading experts on nanotechnology, and to get fresh ideas for articles. The Congress also has an exhibition, held by companies that use nanotechnology.

We are happy to arrange interviews with the experts. Attached are suggestions of experts to interview, and the key presentations.
