Motor industry and road safety professionals from a wide range of sectors are being advised to act now in order to reserve their place for the next TyreSafe industry briefing which will be held on Thursday 18th July.

Taking place at the Ardencote Manor Hotel in Warwickshire, attendees will see the launch of campaign materials for this October’s tyre safety month and hear about a number of ways they can get involved and support the campaign in order to help reduce the number of tyre related accidents on the UK’s roads.

“Tyre safety month is a fantastic opportunity for the whole industry to support one key initiative and make a real improvement to safety on our roads,” comments Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe. “This year, we’re unveiling the campaign earlier than ever before to give everyone plenty of opportunity to plan their own local initiatives and make it even bigger and more successful!”

The significant and expanding nature of TyreSafe’s activities is reflected by the breadth of sectors represented at its previous events where attendees have included tyre retailers and manufacturers, car brands, insurers, petrol retailers, fleets operators, breakdown operators, local councils, road safety partnerships, police forces, fire services, driving schools and many more.

As well as seeing the launch of a new campaign theme, attendees will also be able to order new point of sale and promotional materials which will be made freely available for the month. There will also be a new dedicated campaign website, online movies and animations as well as a new dealer locator, giving retailers the opportunity to offer local drivers a free tyre safety check.

“Tyre safety month continues to grow each year, and this occasion is no exception. There’ll be a host of new materials and ways for businesses and other organisations to get involved and I’d urge people to act swiftly in order to secure their place,” adds Jackson.

In addition to the launch of the new campaign, there will also be presentations from organisations including Cheshire Fire Service, Sussex Police, the Highways Agency and Merityre, who will each explain how they’ve supported previous tyre safety month campaigns, giving plenty of ideas and inspiration to others.

Places at the briefing are limited and will be offered free of charge on a first come, first served basis. The event commences at 10.30am and will be followed by a lunch and networking opportunity.
