2011 Hilton HHonors Skate America All-Event Tickets on Sale Friday

Colorado Springs, Colo. (6/30/11) - U.S. Figure Skating announced today that Hilton Worldwide is now the exclusive hotel partner of U.S. Figure Skating. As part of this new two-year partnership, Hilton HHonors, the loyalty program for Hilton Worldwide’s 10 distinct hotel brands, will serve as the title sponsor in 2011 and 2012 for Skate America, the annual International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series event held in the United States.

The 2011 Hilton HHonors Skate America – which will feature a field of more than 50 top skaters from around the world – is scheduled for Oct. 21-23 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif., with the Hilton Ontario Airport serving as the official host hotel for the event. This continued support began when the company previously served as a U.S. Figure Skating supplier through its sponsorship of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).

“We are extremely happy to add Hilton Worldwide to our growing list of national partners,” U.S. Figure Skating Executive Director David Raith said. “Hilton Worldwide has been a supporter of the Olympic Movement and U.S. Figure Skating through their relationship with the USOC for many years and this new partnership takes our relationship with a premier global company to another level.”

In addition to receiving brand visibility at Skate America events, Hilton Worldwide will receive presenting sponsorship rights at the U.S. Figure Skating’s Governing Council, the annual business meeting of the organization’s delegates and club representatives; logo placement on figure skating Team USA apparel; and print, TV and in-arena marketing rights associated with the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

“Through this partnership, we are delighted to deepen our commitment to U.S. Figure Skating and continue to provide support for the athletes, professional members and their families.” said Jeff Diskin, Senior Vice President, Global Customer Marketing, Hilton Worldwide. “We look forward to sponsoring the dynamic and high profile Skate America event for the next two years and providing a visible platform for our Hilton HHonors brand.”

Hilton Worldwide will also offer U.S. Figure Skating athletes, professional members, families and fans a discount booking portal for hotel stays at Hilton Worldwide's participating hotel brands, including Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Hotels, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Home2Suites by Hilton and Hilton Grand Vacations. Each confirmed hotel night stay that is booked via the portal will directly support U.S. Figure Skating’s Team USA program.
