Service Science Advisor Named to Federal Climate Change Advisory Committee

Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell today announced the members of a newly created federal advisory committee who will provide guidance about the Interior Department’s climate change adaptation science initiatives. Among the newly appointed members is Dr. Gabriela Chavarria, Science Advisor to the Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Dr. Chavarria serves as counsel to the Service Director and provides leadership on science policy and scientific applications in resource management.
