GlobalFun In Partnership With Speedy Tomato [Gothenburg, Sweden, May 29, 2001.] Speedy Tomato has entered a partnership with interactive games manufacturer GlobalFun. At the end of the summer, three interactive games will be launched on Speedy Tomato's portals in Europe. GlobalFun is a subsidiary of the leading Scandinavian computer game developer UDS with approx. 100 employees. "Our ambition is to help Speedy Tomato offer its users good and entertaining games, no matter where, when or how they surf into the portal," said Bertil Krumnack, President of GlobalFun. The games involved are multi-channel, which means that Speedy Tomato's users will be able to play against each other simultaneously on different channels - with a WAP connected telephone or on the Internet. Interactivity is one of the most important factors when Speedy Tomato selects which games are to be developed, and the company's ambition is to launch a range of games where users can play each other. Initially, Speedy Tomato and GlobalFun have signed an agreement covering three games and the intention is to work together in the long term. "GlobalFun's games are very much in line with Speedy Tomato's idea of inspiring interaction between people," said Erik Hallberg, President of Speedy Tomato. "GlobalFun is also a very attractive partner with a high level of expertise in finding creative solutions for mobile Internet entertainment."
