UDS Releases Two New Games: "Asterix Mega Madness" And "World's Scariest Police Chases" [Norrkoping, Sweden, June 11, 2001.] UDS releases two brand new computer games: "Asterix Mega Madness", which is based on the popular comic books series of Asterix the Gaul, and "World's Scariest Police Chases" which is based Fox's popular TV show with the same name. UDS (Unique Development Studios) is one of Scandinavia's leading developer of computer and video games with more than 100 employees in Sweden and Britain. "Asterix Mega Madness" was released on May 31st together with French publishing giant Infogrames. The new game will initially be available for PC and Sony Playstation. The order from Infogrames was the largest ever for UDS with a multi-million SEK development budget and the game has been under development since August last year. Asterix is one of Europe's most popular comic strips, with an aggregated comic books sale of more than 300 million copies in 85 languages and dialects. In addition, seven cartoons have been made, and a long series of computer and video games created by Infogrames with an aggregated sales of 2,8 million copies. The live movie reached 27 million viewers all over Europe in 1999. "World's Scariest Police Chases" is developed by UDS for entertainment giant Fox Interactive. The game is based on Fox's popular TV show "World's Scariest Police Chases". The game will be released for the Sony Playstation platform and distributed by Fox Interactive and Activision.
