  • Unicom set to create 100 new jobs in South Manchester

Manchester, UK - Small business telecommunications and utilities specialist Unicom has created 100 new jobs in the region following the company’s expansion into a newly refurbished office scheme in Northenden, Greater Manchester.

Recognised as a rising star within the telecommunications industry, Unicom enjoyed a positive 2014 and is now only second to BT when it comes to SME clients looking for land-line calls and rental, according to a recent Ofcom report.

The company’s expansion will provide the extra office space needed to take on more staff across every area of the business. As Unicom continues to acquire new business and seeks to provide its current client base with the best service possible, it is looking to recruit staff across its sales, customer service, retentions, contract processing and administration teams.

Unicom has taken out a ten-year lease on its new 12,647 sq ft property on Palatine Road, which is situated within a stone’s throw of its Headquarters in Sharston. Property investment company, Hollins Murray Group, oversaw the widening of Unicom’s operations into the newly refurbished Four6Four office scheme.

Speaking about the company’s need for additional office space, CEO Chris Earle said: “As a rapidly growing business provider second only to BT we are always evaluating how to maintain our high standards of customer care.

“Four6Four met our requirements in terms of location and size and gives us the extra capacity required to expand our business further, creating up to a hundred positions in South Manchester.”

Hollins Murray Group’s Chief Executive, Nick Casson added: "Unicom is very successful provider of services to thousands of small businesses and is growing rapidly. We are very pleased to have formed a new relationship with them.”
