  • National Firm Emerges as Rising Star in New Ofcom Report
  • Company More Popular Than Talk Talk in Landline Market

Manchester, UK - Business telecommunications specialists Unicom have been named as one of the UK’s top providers, in a report by regulator Ofcom.

The British firm is now second only to BT when it comes to SME clients looking for landline calls and rental.

They beat Talk Talk to be chosen by almost one in ten (nine per cent) of small to medium-sized companies looking for a landline calls provider and seven per cent who now use them for landline rental.

The Ofcom research, which gathered the views of 1,500 UK SMEs also found that British business bosses were happy with the overall telecommunications service they received.

An overwhelming 85 per cent felt the needs of their business were well served by the current communications market and that information was widely available about products and services.

When it came to switching providers, two thirds (67 per cent) said they had been motivated by cost and finding a cheaper deal and more than half (54 per cent) found the process an easy one.

Speaking about the findings, Unicom CEO, Chris Earle, said: “We are delighted that so many UK businesses are deciding to choose Unicom as their telecommunications provider.

“We pride ourselves on offering the kind of strong service, packages and support that our SME customers need and we look forward to seeing that number continue to grow.”
