Ultimate power player of African fashion

University of Hertfordshire’s Dr Shaun Borstrock has been named in a 2015 power list for African fashion. 

The distinction, published by the fashion magazine New African Woman, honours Africa’s creatives, who have made a significant contribution to the fashion industry.

Dr Borstrock is the Associate Dean in the School of Creative Arts at the University and, as a Trustee of Design for Africa and a board member of Cape Town Fashion Council; he has dedicated his work to the development of young African design talent. He is the founder of the Shaun Borstrock Foundation for Creative Industries - which aims to mentor, nurture and empower young learners and emerging designers within the creative industries in South Africa.

“I am delighted to have been included in this year’s Africa Power list and look forward to continuing the work I do, along with other dedicated colleagues, through collaborative projects that upskill and improve the lives of people in Africa” said Dr Borstrock.
