UTA College of Nursing and Health Innovation leader helps develop new heart-related guidelines
ARLINGTON, Texas -- A senior associate dean in the UTA College of Nursing and Health Innovation played a chief role in developing the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care, which among other things, calls for quick action on the part of bystanders. Dr. Beth Mancini served as lead author of Part 3 of the AHA document and intimately understands the significance of CPR. It’s a painful lesson that she experienced as a child and the reason that she passionately advocates for CPR training worldwide. “We were at
