UT Arlington wins $1.3 million federal grant to develop miner safety training materials, documentary
ARLINGTON, Texas -- The University of Texas at Arlington has received a $1.3 million grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health to produce an oral history documentary for the U.S. mining industry. The grant will also be used to develop accompanying multi-media components and leadership skills among first-line supervisors over the next three years.
