UT Arlington linguistics professor to serve as new National Science Foundation program director
Focus will be on endangered languagesARLINGTON, Texas -- The National Science Foundation has named a University of Texas at Arlington linguistics researcher as the new director for the agency’s Documenting Endangered Languages Program.
Colleen Fitzgerald is a professor of Linguistics & TESOL and also serves as director of the Native American Languages Lab in UT Arlington's College of Liberal Arts. She begins her assignment in Washington, D.C. in August and will return to teaching after one year.
The new role will require Fitzgerald to review
