Uniwater has entered into an agreement to acquire NOKA AS, a Norwegian engineering and service company specializing in drinking water treatment for municipal and industrial customers. With NOKA AS, Uniwater expands its presence in Norway. Following the acquisition, Uniwater has four operating subsidiaries in Norway.

NOKA is a market-leading specialist in water treatment in Norway and offers services and technical solutions for drinking water treatment through membrane filtration and UV disinfection. In addition, the company provides aftermarket services with consulting, maintenance and delivery of spare parts and chemicals.

"Uniwater has a strong portfolio with a wide range of niche specialists to build the water infrastructure of the future. We are building our capacity for complete solutions in all markets where we operate. NOKA's experienced and knowledgeable team strengthens Uniwater's expertise in drinking water treatment, which is an important component in broadening our offering to an even larger customer base,"says Olof Nordin Business Area Director for Uniwater Treatment.

NOKA was founded in 1973, as an engineering company focusing on water purification. Since 1995, NOKA has been supplying membrane filter systems for both small and large water utilities in Norway, and the majority of these are based on filtration with nanotechnology.

"We are a small company sprung from technical solutions and engineering assignments. We like to be small, but we see great opportunities for business development by being part of Uniwater. NOKA has been around for more than 50 years, now a new era is starting together with Uniwater. My expectation is to be able to collaborate with other companies in the group, and I see great potential for our membrane system solutions in more markets," says Andreas Hartz, CEO of NOKA.
