Uniwater has acquired WCI, an engineering company specialising in water and wastewater infrastructure based in Somerset, England. The acquisition marks Uniwater’s entry into the UK.

WCI works exclusively with water and wastewater assets, delivering design, construction, maintenance and natural capital services to commercial and municipal clients. The acquisition marks Uniwater's entry into the commercial and public water market in the UK.

– We are very excited to be entering a new market. WCI brings deep technical expertise, strong customer relationships and a strong brand - exactly the kind of specialist company we look for. WCI’s technical expertise across design, construction, delivery and maintenance gives us a strong base to build on, as we continue our growth journey, says Carl Berglund, Head of UK and Business Area Director at Uniwater.

WCI was founded in 1983 and from its HQ in Somerset, its 24 employees serve commercial and municipal clients across England and Wales.

– WCI is a well-established and well-regarded brand, but as an SME there are barriers to growth. Uniwater gives us strength to grow, reach a broader client base and access to new markets and talent. We are hugely excited to be embarking on this next chapter of our growth as part of Uniwater, says Brad Taylor, Managing Director of WCI.
