The water and wastewater group Uniwater is now stepping into the Finnish market. The subsidiary Ibeco, one of the Nordics’ leading distributors of water, wastewater and HVAC products, has opened a branch in Helsinki. This is an important and long-awaited step in the group's geographical expansion within the Nordic Region.

Uniwater, a group with specialist companies in water infrastructure, is now expanding its platform in the Nordic Region by establishing the subsidiary Ibeco in Finland. Ibeco is one of the Nordics’ leading distributors of customer-specific water, wastewater and HVAC products. The company has customers and supplier networks in all Nordic countries, making it a natural step to scale up its presence to the east, in Finland.

Carl Berglund, Business Area Manager for Uniwater Products, sees significant potential in this geographical expansion. He has been looking forward to the establishment, and is delighted that the structure is now in place, with both personnel and premises.

“We have wanted to do this for a long time, and now the time is right - we are going all in and establishing ourselves in Finland. We believe strongly in the Finnish market: the need for investment is great, and there are many similarities with both Sweden and Norway, where we already operate. We are now building on our experience and scaling up together with local staff,” says Carl Berglund.

Ibeco made an early start this spring by taking part in Finland's largest infrastructure fair, Infratech in Jyväskylä, in order to make contacts and show the product range. In parallel, recruitment of key functions and finding the right premises was ongoing. Ibeco Finland has now moved into its new office and warehouse, with a strategic location near one of the main roads, and only a quarter of an hour from the airport in Helsinki.

Open house

The official opening of Ibeco Finland's office is on September 21, 11:00 - 14:00. Customers, the media and other interested parties will be welcome to hear more about Ibeco's offers, as well as meet Pia Palmroos, Country Sales Manager, and Uniwater's management team.

Press accreditation for the opening September 21

Registration for the opening must be done by September 15 at the latest via carolina.jaworski@uniwater.se.
