Camanio Care broadens its offering of health care and welfare services by acquiring the IoT specialist company VITAL Integration. The acquisition takes place immediately and for operational reasons.
VITAL Integration is an IoT company in welfare technology, focusing on service platforms, service packages and infrastructure for data transfer in health care and welfare. As a welfare service provider, the company offers solutions for a smart home that enhances the security and independence of individuals, both at home and off site. This is done by creating interoperability for digital technology, collecting data from all kind of sensors such as mobile security alarms, monitoring devices such as cameras, locks, clocks and cognitive aids.
VITAL Connect is a service platform that can form the center in a home-based home network, with an attractive business model based on recurring revenue based on the number of users and the number of services connected to the platform.
"Local authorities, as well as individual healthcare facilities, need a future-proof healthcare infrastructure where you can safely plug in the required emergency care products, those available today as well as services developed in the future. VITAL Integration’s service platform is secure, open, flexible and efficient”, says Camanio Care’s CEO Catharina Borgenstierna.
Camanio Care and VITAL Integration have collaborated in client projects since May 2018, and the companies complement each other knowledge wise. During the collaboration, a consensus has emerged that the two companies can be run more efficiently under the brand Camanio Care, who thus is taking over the responsibility of two of VITAL Integration's employees. VITAL Integration had a turnover of 1.8 MSEK 2016 and is expected to contribute positively to Camanio Care's operating profit by 2019. Camanio Care's liquidity is not affected by the acquisition.
