The State Bar of Arizona Names Raya Tahan Chair of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Section

PHOENIX, AZ, SEPT. 21, 2011 -  Frutkin Law’s Raya Tahan has recently been appointed the new Chair of the Real Property Section.

Each year, the state bar elects a chair to the committee through an open process. The Real Property Section considers all issues that affect or interest attorneys involved in real estate law inArizona. The committee is responsible for improvements and reforms in real property, related legislation and regulation.

Tahan recently joined The Frutkin Law Firm, PLC practicing of counsel in business and real estate law.

A highly regarded national real estate expert and educator, Tahan has been quoted in both local and national publications. She is the former Editor of the Arizona State Bar’s “Real Property Journal.” In addition, Tahan is certified byArizona's Department of Real Estate to teach courses in real estate legal issues to brokers and agents. She is also a professor atPhoenixCollegewhere she teaches real property and business law .

Ms. Tahan, a lifelong resident ofArizona, has been practicing law since 2003 and received her juris doctorate degree in 2003 fromArizonaStateUniversity. She received her bachelor’s degree fromUniversityofArizonain 1996.
