(UPM Raflatac, Mills River, NC, USA, September 25, 2018 at 17:00 EET) - UPM Raflatac is boldly taking a leap forward in its promise to label a smarter future by unveiling its new Vanish(TM) PCR line of ultra-thin clear film labels available with 90 percent recycled content face and liners*, a global first for sustainable packaging. These "no-label" look labels will allow you to increase your sustainability without sacrificing performance!

More and more iconic global brands are setting ambitious targets for incorporating recycled content in their packaging materials. Our Vanish PCR clear labels are ideal for any brand in the beverage, food, or home and personal care segment ready to achieve those goals by being suitable for a variety of rigid containers, including glass and aluminum. Vanish's thinner constructions also result in reduced transportation and packaging waste at multiple stages in the operational process.

These thin, yet robust products provide the perfect canvas for innovative imagery previously considered unattainable by creative designers. Vanish's dimensional stability, excellent ink reception and dispensing properties simultaneously allow manufacturers to embrace new productivity gains and increase storage space.

"As the world's most sustainable labeling company, we want to offer our customers innovative solutions that promote and enable the circular economy and Vanish PCR is an excellent example of that," says Robert Taylor, Director, Sustainability, UPM Raflatac. "Constructing clear label face and liners from recycled content has never been seen in the packaging industry before and demonstrates that together with our partners we can make a smarter future and close the circle."

"Customers are looking for more sustainable alternatives, but it is critical that they still have the same excellent performance customers have come to expect from UPM Raflatac," adds Fernando Giron, Global Marketing Manager, Films, UPM Raflatac. "We are proud that our new Vanish PCR film labels still offer the same incredible 'no-label' look that has been so sought after. New Vanish PCR labels can help you stay ahead of market trends and meet - or even exceed - your sustainability targets."
