UPM-Kymmene Corporation announces successful completion of consent solicitation

(UPM, Helsinki, 23 May 2016 at 16:45 EET) - UPM-Kymmene Corporation has successfully completed the consent solicitation process announced on 29 April 2016. The aim of this process was to solicit consents from the holders of the outstanding notes of certain series of notes issued pursuant to UPM's Global Medium Term Note (GMTN) Programme to amend the terms and conditions of such notes. UPM announced on 10 December 2015 a plan to change its corporate structure to better match its current business structure. The now approved amendments to the terms and conditions of the notes are one of the requirements for implementing the plan.
