  • The first rental point will be opened at Sheremetyevo International Airport

UROS, the provider of Goodspeed mobile Wi-Fi, today announces that its subsidiary Goodspeed Rent Ltd expands its mobile hotspot renting business to Russia through the newly established Goodspeed Rent RUS. Goodspeed Rent RUS will open a rental point in Moscow at the Sheremetyevo International Airport terminal D, where the Aeroflot check-in takes place among many other airlines. Every year more than 20 million Russians travel to and from the Sheremetyevo International Airport.

"Launching a renting business in Russia supports our growth strategy to become a global player at a fast pace. There are some 14 million people in the Moscow Metropolitan Area and it is the business center of Russia, thus growth opportunities are enormous. Our products and services are world leaders in technology and quality with highly competitive prices. Additionally, we are the first to offer such roaming services to Russian travelers, "says Markku Niemitalo, CEO of Goodspeed Rent. UROS CEO Jerry Raatikainen comments on the development: “UROS is delighted to see Goodspeed mobile Wi-Fi branch out to Russia with Goodspeed Rent. Russia has been a key destination for UROS customers and this announcement will further strengthen UROS’ activities in Russia."

Vadim Grichpoun, Chairman of the Board of Goodspeed Rent RUS, adds, "This kind of product and service has not yet been available in the Russian market. Like all travelers, the Russian holidaymakers and business travelers are consuming data abroad to an increasing extent, and I see a great potential here in Russia. I believe such a roaming service will convince Russian customers."

Goodspeed Rent RUS rents the Goodspeed 4G mobile hotspot for €14.90 per day (~ 905 RUB). The daily rental fee includes 250MB of data per day and the connection can be shared with up to 15 mobile devices. The hotspot can be reserved in advance from the Goodspeed Rent website and picked up before the departure from the Sheremetyevo International Airport terminal D. Renting directly at the terminal without prior reservation is subject to availability. The hotspot is returned to the same location.
