Utfors: Interim report first quarter 2001 Strong demand for the Utfors "IP Port," · Net sales for the period increased 36,2% to SEK 93.8 M resulting in an increase quarter over quarter by 26.4% · EBITDA (operating income plus depreciation and write-downs) for the period amounted to a loss of SEK 67.5 M (loss: 4.4) · Continued strong demand for the Utfors "IP Port," resulting in 529 contracted accesses as of March 31, 2001 and over 100 additional ports in April · Strategic contract signed after close of the reporting period with SAAB (70 ports) · 4000 kilometers of Utfors' fiber-optic broadband network were placed in operation, with the result that the network construction phase is completed in all significant respects "For Utfors, the first quarter represented an important step in the company's development since we were able to begin focusing on sales and the development of the company's direct broadband-based services", says Jan Werne, CEO of Utfors."
