The event will be conducted in English and webcast on www.government.se/storytellers making it an opportunity for the attending authors and readers in nations around the globe to discuss Swedish literature. Readers are invited to take part by submitting questions on Twitter (hashtag #storytellers) or via text message (no +46 73 657 40 93) to the authors about their books and the various topics discussed in the programme points.
November is Swedish literature’s month. Our missions abroad have focused on promoting literature exports and in particular have worked on various ways of making Swedish literature visible in their respective countries. The goal is to get as many of the embassies as possible to take part in the Storytellers of Sweden book club and promote the event in their countries to inspire people in the industry and readers.
“We want to call attention to the power that Swedish literature currently has to reach out and speak to people all over the world with issues and stories that touch and engage,” says Minister for Trade Ewa Björling, who is hosting the event.
Time: Thursday 22 November, 10.00–18.00 CET
