A successful year for Väderstad
Väderstad closes the fiscal year of 2017 with good results and an increased turnover by 12 percent.
- 2017 has been a successful year for Väderstad. The general market has grown in the industry and we have had a very positive sales trend. In addition, we have established new sales channels in Russia and Ukraine, which have contributed to increased volumes. Furthermore countries such as Sweden, England and Romania have made very good results, says Mattias Hovnert, Sales & Marketing Director for Väderstad.
In fiscal year 2017 Väderstad AB including subsidiaries reports a turnover of 225 million euro, of which nearly 90% represents export sales outside of Sweden. The earnings before tax is 12 million euro and the equity ratio is high at 46%.
- The success of our unique Tempo planter continues and our market share in the planter segment increases, says Mattias Hovnert, and continues:
- We see that growth continues and during the first quarter of 2018 sales have been very good. The trend seems to last and we are looking forward to 2018. During the year, we are investing in increased production capacity in the factory.
The family-owned Väderstad Group is represented in 40 countries worldwide. The group has nearly 1250 employees, of which nearly 900 works at the factory and head office in Väderstad, Sweden.
