Valio Launches New Infant-Grade Skimmed Milk Powder for Dry-Blend IMF Production
Leading Finnish dairy company Valio has launched a new infant-grade skimmed milk powder, Valio Prime SMP. The dry blend-optimized product offers infant milk formula (IMF) manufacturers a more straightforward production process while ensuring the highest microbiological quality.

Skimmed milk powder that meets the strictest dry blending requirements in infant nutrition
The dry blending process enables manufacturers to flexibly customize their product selection to meet market needs. Valio Prime SMP is especially suited for small and medium-sized enterprises, as it is easy to incorporate into existing dry blend manufacturing processes, but larger manufacturers can also use it to streamline their production processes.
Due to the absence of heat treatment after blending, the quality standards for dry blends are more stringent than those for wet blends. As a result, the ingredients must meet very high quality requirements, which can only be ensured by strictly limiting microbiological levels in the dry blending process.
