Valmet received decision from the Manchester Crown Court regarding a work place accident

Valmet's affiliate in the UK, Valmet Ltd received a decision from Manchester Crown Court on November 17, 2016 regarding an incident which took place during maintenance activities at a recycled paper board mill on July 9, 2014. While working on a cross shaft above the reel pulper, a subcontracted employee fell from height and suffered fractures to his left foot. Valmet Ltd was fined £120,000 after pleading guilty to breaching the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and ordered to pay costs of £8,591.
