Valmet signs a service agreement with UBE Corporation in Spain

Valmet and UBE Corporation Europe S.A.U. have signed a service agreement to improve the waste boiler’s performance at UBE’s chemical plant in Castellón, Spain.
The agreement was included in Valmet's orders received of the first quarter 2023 and was effective immediately. The value of the agreement will not be disclosed.
Through the service agreement UBE is expecting to utilize Valmet’s support in optimizing the boiler’s availability and performance as well as developing the inspection and maintenance practices further. In addition, UBE is aiming at reducing emissions to meet the target levels defined in the industry’s Best Available Techniques (BAT) reference documents.
“We have co-operated with Valmet since the installation of our waste boiler. Over the years, Valmet has supported us in implementing new projects successfully as well as continuously helped us to improve the overall performance of the boiler. For further optimizing, we know Valmet is the one capable of supporting us,” says Vicente Soro, Business and Projects Development Manager at UBE.
“Our long-term relationship with UBE will be further strengthened by this agreement. We will do our best to support the customer in reaching their targets by providing various expert services related to condition assessment, maintenance and shutdown planning,” says Marcos Gonzalez Moreno, Service Sales Manager, EMEA, Valmet.
Technical information about the agreement
The service agreement includes support in the overall plant development, maintenance, and performance services on-site and remote, services during the shutdown and spare parts management.
