NOT FOR RELEASE, PUBLICATION OR DISTRIBUTION IN OR INTO THE UNITED STATES, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, JAPAN OR IN OR INTO ANY OTHER JURISDICTION IN WHICH OFFERS OR SALES WOULD BE PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAWVarma Mutual Pension Insurance Company (“Varma”) intends to sell preliminarily up to 7 700 000 shares in Sampo Plc (“Sampo” or the “Company”) (the “Share Sale”). Varma will decide the final number of shared sold based on investor demand. Prior to the Share Sale, Varma owns 29,948,420 shares in the Company corresponding approximately to 5.39 percent of all the outstanding shares of the Company.
