Torbjörn Wahlborg, Head of Generation, and Anne Gynnerstedt, Head of Legal and Corporate Security & Resilience, have chosen to leave the company after long and successful operational careers. Torbjörn Wahlborg will remain in his role until a successor is appointed, or until the end of the year at the latest. Anne Gynnerstedt will leave the company at the end of August. Recruitment processes for both positions have begun.

Torbjörn Wahlborg has worked at Vattenfall since 1990 and held a number of top jobs within the company, including being responsible for Vattenfall's operations in Poland and Head of Vattenfall Nordics. He has been part of the group management since 2010 and responsible for the Generation business area since 2014.

Torbjörn's long career at Vattenfall has meant that he has contributed to many different parts of Vattenfall's operations. His deep and broad experience has been very valuable to me and to the group management, not least as energy industry embarks up a period of revolutionary change. I will miss him and wish him the best of luck for the next step”, says Anna Borg, president and CEO of Vattenfall.

My time at Vattenfall has been fantastic. I have had the privilege of working in different countries and with basically every part of the value chain in the electricity sector, but above all with fantastic colleagues”, says Torbjörn Wahlborg. There is a lot I will miss, but I now also hope to be able to develop some of the interests I had in parallel with the job, including board-level involvement.

Prior to that, Anne was General Counsel at SAS Cargo and Corporate Counsel at the group staff at SAS. Today she is also a board member of the Swedish Space Corporation and has been nominated to the boards of Sveriges Television and Enea.

”Anne's unique and broad experience combined with her clear business focus have made her an important part of the group management. She has always been able to see the business benefit, and she deservedly won Corporate Lawyer of the Year 2021 and Chief Legal Officer of the Year 2023. I will miss her and wish her all the best in the next chapter of her life”, says Anna Borg.

”It has been a privilege to be at Vattenfall for 12 years. Energy and the transition we are in the middle of engages everyone. I am proud of what Vattenfall is doing and stands for, and of our committed employees. I have been challenged and had fun at work every day! I will miss it, not least my employees and colleagues, but now the time has come for a new chapter”, says Anne Gynnerstedt.
