Four German companies to be integrated as Vattenfall Europe The holding company for Vattenfall's German operations will be called "Vattenfall Europe". The four German companies that are part of the Group will be gathered under Vattenfall's corporate design. The management group for Vattenfall's group of companies in Germany, which consists of Bewag, HEW, Laubag and Veag, has decided that the holding company shall be called Vattenfall Europe. The names of the four companies will be retained, with the addition "a company in the Vattenfall Group" in order to emphasise their group identity. A common corporate design under the brand name of Vattenfall will be developed. "The name Vattenfall Europe does not designate a geographical operating area but underlines participation in the work of achieving the Group's vision that Vattenfall shall be a leading European energy company," says Vattenfall's President and CEO Lars G Josefsson, who is also Chairman of the German management group.
