Helene Biström, Senior Executive Vice President and Member of Executive Group Management, has, in the past year, been Head of Business Group Pan Europe, which is responsible for the wind and nuclear power energy sectors, the development of new business areas, as well as Vattenfall’s consulting operations. She will be leaving her position on 31 August.

-“I regret that Helene is leaving Vattenfall. She is a very knowledgeable and popular manager with extensive experience of Vattenfall operations. She has, for instance, been successful in setting up the Pan Europe business area since January 2009,” says Öystein Löseth, President and CEO at Vattenfall.

Helene has worked at Vattenfall for more than 27 years and has had many assignments and positions.

-”I am leaving Vattenfall after so many years with so many positive memories. I am happy and proud to have been a part of the journey made by Vattenfall, from a state-owned monopoly to one of Europe’s leading energy companies. Most of all, I am grateful for all the nice and competent people that I have become acquainted with during my time here. After 27 years at Vattenfall I feel that it is time to move on,” says Helene Biström.

Anders Dahl, Head of Business Unit Wind, will become Acting Head of BG Pan Europe, while Tuomo Hatakka, Head of Business Group Central Europe, will take charge of Vattenfall nuclear business.
