Jan Edberg new Managing Director of Forsmark

Jan Edberg has been appointed new Managing Director of Forsmark.

Jan Edberg has a solid background in Swedish nuclear power. He started his career in 1973 at Asea Atom, where among other things he worked with the construction of Forsmark’s reactors. During the years 1976 – 2000 he worked at Forsmark in different leading positions, including 1997 – 2000 as Managing Director of Forsmark nuclear power plant.

In 2001 he took up the work as Managing Director of Ringhals and Barsebäck nuclear power stations. Since 2006, when Barsebäck was closed, he is Managing Director of Ringhals and will keep that position until a successor has been appointed and takes over.

“Jan Edberg has pursued the safety work at Ringhals with great determination. His experience will be a great asset to further develop the safety culture in Forsmark,” says Hans von Uthmann, Senior Executive Vice President of Vattenfall AB and head of Vattenfall Nordic.

Jan Edberg will take up his new position on Monday, 12 February.
