Managing Director of Forsmark’s nuclear plant resigns

As a consequence of recent events and the attention they have attracted in the media, the Managing Director of Forsmarks Kraftgrupp AB, Lars Fagerberg, has decided that he no longer has the full confidence of the Board. Therefore, he has today – 8 February 2007 – voluntarily tendered his resignation as Managing Director of Forsmark.

“Lars has been the Managing Director of Forsmark for a long time, and the recent events have been a great strain for him,” says Göran Lundgren, Head of Generation at Vattenfall Nordic. “I fully understand Lars’ difficult situation and respect his decision,” continues Göran.

Lars Fagerberg resigns as MD with immediate effect, and his successor will be appointed shortly. Acting Managing Director is Claes-Göran Runermark.
