New Head of Group Function Strategies

Dr. Helmar Rendez will become the new head of Vattenfall’s Group Function Strategies from 20 August. The present head of Group Function Strategies, Lennart Billfalk, will retire from his current position during the summer while keeping some assignments for Vattenfall. Helmar Rendez will be a member of the Executive Group Management (EGM).

Helmar Rendez was born in Stuttgart 1962 and is a Doctor of Engineering. He is now Managing director of Vattenfall Europe Business Services GmbH with responsibility for Customer Services, Logistics and Real estates. Since 2004, he is also a member of the Management Board of the subsidiary WEMAG AG, responsible for Finance, HR and Sales.

During the period 2000-2002 Helmar Rendez was also responsible for the integration process within Vattenfall Europe.

In 2002, he became head of Corporate Development (authorised officer) of Vattenfall Europe AG.
