Vattenfall denies report on acquisition of Copenhagen Energy

With regard to articles in a Danish newspaper today, Vattenfall AB issues the following statement:

Vattenfall underlines its interest to play an active role in the ongoing restructuring of the Danish power market. We are therefore constantly evaluating possibilities and are in discussion with various parties. Vattenfall has, however, not made any offer to buy Copenhagen Energy. Reports on a purchase agreement between Vattenfall and the owners of Copenhagen Energy are fully unsubstantial.
