Vattenfall publishes its Annual Report on the Internet

Vattenfall’s Annual Report for 2004 is now available in English on Vattenfall’s website www.vattenfall.com.

The Annual Report gives a comprehensive account of Vattenfall’s corporate development in 2004. Against the background of an ever-changing power industry, CEO Lars G Josefsson highlights Vattenfall’s plans to invest in cutting-edge electricity generation technology for the future as well as improvements in the security of supply and customer service. He considers the ongoing global climate change mankind’s most important environmental problem of our time and outlines how Vattenfall works with this issue. The European energy market, the competition and electricity price setting are analysed, as are the developments on Vattenfall’s markets, i.e. the Nordic countries, Germany and Poland. Besides providing in-depth information on Vattenfall’s financial results the Annual Report also contains comprehensive information on the company’s strategy, organisation, corporate governance and risk management. In line with Vattenfall’s commitment to openness and transparency, information on remuneration and benefits for Board members, the CEO and other directors and executives, as well as information on incentive programmes for managers and other personnel, is presented.
