Vattenfall’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report 2004 received high credit in an international ranking made by the Roberts Environmental Center, a research institute at Claremont McKenna College in California, USA.

Vattenfall’s report came out as number one regarding environmental reporting transparency and seventh best as a whole in the energy and utility sector world wide.

According to the analysts, Vattenfall’s CSR-report “is an extremely well thought-out and executed report with a clear introductory section on how such a report should be read and used and an easy-to-read 50-page visionary section that is very clear on the types of impacts that electrical utilities cause and on the approaches in use at Vattenfall to diminish them, illustrated with some of the best diagrams we have seen. All this is followed by a no-nonsense 30-page section of data keyed to the GRI reporting guidelines.”

The assessed report was the one for 2004. Last month Vattenfall published a CSR Report for 2005. The Report can be downloaded from www.vattenfall.com/csr
