Vattenfall welcomes the decision of the EU Commission

The EU Commission, which has been reviewing the deal between Vattenfall and Dong in Denmark regarding Elsam and Energi E2, has now announced its acceptance of the part of the deal which concerns Vattenfall.

The Commission last November asked for further information from Vattenfall about the deal. Having reviewed this information, the Commission has now given green light for Vattenfall’s acquisition of electricity and heat assets in Denmark. “We are happy about this information and will as soon as possible discuss with Dong the concrete measures that need to be taken in order quickly to get going with the operations.
