Vattenfall was chosen as the winner of the large company class in the prestigious annual report competition “Best Annual Report”, organised by the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

The prize was awarded during the FinForum 2005 conference at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm on Tuesday, November 8. The jury summarized their rationale for the decision as follows: ”Vattenfall has produced a model report in many areas. The jury wishes to particularly single out the comprehensive review of the market and competitive situation both in terms of structure and richness of detail. Vattenfall’s annual report meets first-rate standards in its presentation of financial targets, description of the Group’s risks, environmental efforts, as well as corporate governance issues, all of which are presented in a reader friendly format”. The aim of the Best Annual Report competition is to encourage companies to improve and develop their external communications. This years contest was the 40th in succession. The jury was made up of Ulf Strömsten (chairman), Hans Edenhammar, Anders Haskel, Nils Liliedahl and Henrik Söderberg. The jury assessed the annual reports of all of the companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange as well as those unlisted companies that voluntarily submitted their reports for evaluation.
